My dad taught me this when I was a kid. As far as I know he never played hockey in his life. I have used this move scrapping with my brothers and friends and twice for "real". Both times it was very effective.

On one of them, the shirt was so loose I felt he was going to pull out of it. I attempted to tie it up by jerking my fist that was holding the shirt across the front of his body, for what ever reason, he went with it and it spun his back to me. Once that happened I was able to put a shoulder into his back and drive him into a wall. This stunned him long enough for the bouncers to arrive and escort him from the premises. If they hadn't shown up, I would have had plenty of time to perform a tactical retreat. I'm old, fat, have a bad back and knees. I will do everything I can to avoid trouble, but if I can't, I need to start with a finishing move. I'm not going to stand and go three rounds with anyone.
