How to punch!

It’s the first self defense technique everyone learns, right?

Perhaps you learned it from school yard fights.

Maybe your father taught you how to punch when you were growing up.

Or maybe it was the first martial arts move you learned in the dojo.

No matter where or when you learned it, the punch is the most common method taught anybody for self defense.

But there’s a problem here…

Is A Punch Worthless In A Real Street Fight?

Most punches in a real fight are instinctively thrown at your attacker’s head.

We know subconsciously that this is our best chance for a knockout.

However, your opponent’s head holds his brain which is well protected by a very hard skull and an instinctive response when it feels it’s in danger.

You see, when your attacker recognizes that a punch is coming, he will naturally tuck his head and his chin to protect his throat and his eyes as well as present more of his bony skull to your fragile knuckles.

When it comes to targets, the skull is about as “bulletproof” as any part of the body gets.

The Real Danger Of Punching
In A Real Street Fight

When you go for a traditional punch to the head when fighting, chances are very good that you’re going to hit the skull.

When the knuckles of your clenched fist strike a hard surface like the skull in a street fight, they’re very likely to break.

With broken knuckles, you’re now less able to protect yourself because your follow-up blows will lack power coming from your injured hand.

However, you’re losing more than just the ability to punch hard if you injure your knuckles.

Weapons And Broken Knuckles Don’t Mix In
A Real Street Fight

Maybe you carry a gun or a knife as a self defense weapon.

Maybe your attacker is and you’re able to disarm his weapon and use it to protect yourself.

If you damage the knuckles of your hand from punching however, you may not be able to wield either a gun or a knife as effectively, if at all, with a crippled hand.

You can’t open a folding knife or hold it firmly because your hand is broken.

You can’t aim a gun or pull the trigger when you smashed your knuckles punching the other guy in the skull.

What could have been a great self defense weapon has now been rendered useless!

Three Self Defense Techniques Better Than Punching

While there are many strikes that can be used for self defense, the three that are better choices in a street fight are the palm heel, the hammer fist, and the edge of hand blow.

All three pack more power than a traditional punch and are very easy to master for self defense.

But just as importantly, you can strike with any of these methods with much less danger of injuring yourself than if you used a punch.

Finally a home invasion story that doesn’t end up with lowlife scumbags getting the best of honest citizens!

In a recent story, a woman “tricked” two criminals about to rape her.

Her preferred method of “safe sex”?

A S&W .38 Special!

Here’s how she fought back and turned the tables on her attackers…

Oklahoma Break-In Turns Deadly When ‘Victim’ Pulls Gun And Fires

One gun isn’t enough.

That was what Linda Smith (a pseudonym) was thinking after two thugs broke into her Oklahoma apartment.

One was holding a weapon (she initially thought it was a knife but it turned out to be a screwdriver) at her throat, and the other was pacing back and forth while holding her purse and demanding her money and valuables. She screamed, and was told if she screamed again, she’d be dead.

She was doing as police recommend in robberies – comply with a robber’s demands. But her Lady Smith & Wesson .38 special, which she carries by permit, was hidden in her purse – and the purse was being held by one of the attackers.

Then the situation, suddenly, got much, much worse: One of the robbers demanded that she take off her clothes.

“Come on, what are you waiting for,” he told her as he started to yank on her sweatpants, trying to take them off.

Here’s everything you need to know about “Home Defense”

Smith pleaded for her safety and distracted the attackers by telling them she would get her money, which was “in my purse.”

The robbers inexplicably allowed her to drop to her knees and crawl across the floor to her purse, which the second attacker had dropped.

She reached inside, and the first shot was clear of the muzzle and into the torso of one of the attackers before she even pulled the weapon clear of the purse. Four more shots followed shortly and, in the end, one of the attackers was dead and the second was hospitalized facing a murder rap for having participated in a felony in which someone died.

Smith, in an exclusive interview with WND, explained she comes from a family that believes in self-reliance and courage.

“I choose to carry a concealed firearm, because even though I am immensely grateful for the protection from our police departments, I realize they’re not God, so they can’t be everywhere at once.

“Deadly situations can happen in the blink of an eye,” she said. “If you are not proactive … you are a vulnerable target.”

Now there’s one other extremely important lesson here…

Many gun owners feel safe and secure because they “own” a gun.

If they’re safety conscious, they keep it locked in a safe or at least out of the way where it’s not a threat but still easily accessible should someone break into their home.

But What If You CAN’T Get To Your Gun?

I don’t care if you’re packing a .22 pea-shooter or a 155 howitzer, a gun is only good to you if you can get your finger on the trigger and have the business end pointed center mass at the dumbass who decided you looked like an easy target.

That’s why you absolutely MUST know the “sneaky tactics” that transform your home and family safehaven into a “House Of Horrors” for home invaders!

“Gun owner overconfidence” was the entire reason we at the ISCQC developed our “Home Defense Tactics” program for how to survive a home invasion.

And we broke out all of the nastiest tricks we could come up with that will take any attacker by surprise and make them wish they never set foot in your home.

Secrets like:

The absolute WORST MISTAKE every “real man” makes after being taken hostage that actually works AGAINST your odds of escaping with your family alive. (You’ll recognize this as your first instinctual reaction. Do it and you’re likely to get yourself or a family member killed as a result of your actions!) Page 40

What if you had to rescue a loved one being held somewhere in your house? The “room clearing” strategies you’ll discover on pages 41-47 will instantly grant you the tactical skills of a high level S.W.A.T. team member!

How to create the perfect “safe room“ that will act as a powerful force field between you and any madman trying to claw his way to your family. Pages 23-26

The “corridor of death”! Know your home’s “fatal tunnels” that make your vulnerable to a sneak attack! Pages 45-46

What caliber handgun is best for stopping a madman in his tracks? (You may be surprised at the “truth” you find on page 33…and rethink your current weapon selection!)

This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what you need to know, nor the jam-packed strategies that are included in the most comprehensive home defense program on the planet.

In self-defense, weapons can make a big difference.

But what happens when you’re not the one with the self defense weapon?

What happens when your opponent has, say, a club, a bat, or a tire iron, and he holds his “self defense” weapon in both hands to push you off as if he were some sort of riot cop?

At best, you may take a few inconsequential blows, but the club in front of your opponent serves like the bumper of a car, moving you back without hurting him.

It also forms a barrier through which you can’t fight, and that’s why he’s using it.

If you’re not careful, you could take a brutal blow to the face from the length of the club.

There IS something you can do, however…

You Can Pull A Weapons Reversal!

With a self defense weapon reversal, the odds turn in your favor because the weapon is in YOUR hands. Follow these steps:

Self Defense Weapon Reversal, Step One:

As he comes forward with the club held before him, go over or under with one of your arms, diving down between his body and the club.

Self Defense Weapon Reversal, Step Two:

Swing your arm up in a circular motion in front of your body (so if you use your right arm, it would circle in a clockwise direction) and come under his arm anywhere between his wrist and elbow to get the right leverage.

Self Defense Weapon Reversal, Step Three:

As you continue this motion, the leverage will be so great that he HAS to let go.

At this point, you can strip that bat right out of his hands.

Once you do, not only is he off balance, but you will notice that the club should actually end up smack in your own hand!

You might have been tempted to think that a self-defense weapon held before the body isn’t much of a threat, but as we’ve just seen, it certainly can be.

An impact weapon does not have to be swung in order to hurt you.

Self-defense for your opponent is assault for you, because he wants to go home unhurt just like you do.

The difference is that he doesn’t mind hurting you to get what he wants.

A self-defense weapon is a force multiplier… but you want to make sure YOU are the one doing the multiplying.
