Finally a home invasion story that doesn’t end up with lowlife scumbags getting the best of honest citizens!

In a recent story, a woman “tricked” two criminals about to rape her.

Her preferred method of “safe sex”?

A S&W .38 Special!

Here’s how she fought back and turned the tables on her attackers…

Oklahoma Break-In Turns Deadly When ‘Victim’ Pulls Gun And Fires

One gun isn’t enough.

That was what Linda Smith (a pseudonym) was thinking after two thugs broke into her Oklahoma apartment.

One was holding a weapon (she initially thought it was a knife but it turned out to be a screwdriver) at her throat, and the other was pacing back and forth while holding her purse and demanding her money and valuables. She screamed, and was told if she screamed again, she’d be dead.

She was doing as police recommend in robberies – comply with a robber’s demands. But her Lady Smith & Wesson .38 special, which she carries by permit, was hidden in her purse – and the purse was being held by one of the attackers.

Then the situation, suddenly, got much, much worse: One of the robbers demanded that she take off her clothes.

“Come on, what are you waiting for,” he told her as he started to yank on her sweatpants, trying to take them off.

Here’s everything you need to know about “Home Defense”

Smith pleaded for her safety and distracted the attackers by telling them she would get her money, which was “in my purse.”

The robbers inexplicably allowed her to drop to her knees and crawl across the floor to her purse, which the second attacker had dropped.

She reached inside, and the first shot was clear of the muzzle and into the torso of one of the attackers before she even pulled the weapon clear of the purse. Four more shots followed shortly and, in the end, one of the attackers was dead and the second was hospitalized facing a murder rap for having participated in a felony in which someone died.

Smith, in an exclusive interview with WND, explained she comes from a family that believes in self-reliance and courage.

“I choose to carry a concealed firearm, because even though I am immensely grateful for the protection from our police departments, I realize they’re not God, so they can’t be everywhere at once.

“Deadly situations can happen in the blink of an eye,” she said. “If you are not proactive … you are a vulnerable target.”

Source: www.WND.com

Now there’s one other extremely important lesson here…

Many gun owners feel safe and secure because they “own” a gun.

If they’re safety conscious, they keep it locked in a safe or at least out of the way where it’s not a threat but still easily accessible should someone break into their home.

But What If You CAN’T Get To Your Gun?

I don’t care if you’re packing a .22 pea-shooter or a 155 howitzer, a gun is only good to you if you can get your finger on the trigger and have the business end pointed center mass at the dumbass who decided you looked like an easy target.

That’s why you absolutely MUST know the “sneaky tactics” that transform your home and family safehaven into a “House Of Horrors” for home invaders!

“Gun owner overconfidence” was the entire reason we at the ISCQC developed our “Home Defense Tactics” program for how to survive a home invasion.

And we broke out all of the nastiest tricks we could come up with that will take any attacker by surprise and make them wish they never set foot in your home.

Secrets like:

The absolute WORST MISTAKE every “real man” makes after being taken hostage that actually works AGAINST your odds of escaping with your family alive. (You’ll recognize this as your first instinctual reaction. Do it and you’re likely to get yourself or a family member killed as a result of your actions!) Page 40

What if you had to rescue a loved one being held somewhere in your house? The “room clearing” strategies you’ll discover on pages 41-47 will instantly grant you the tactical skills of a high level S.W.A.T. team member!

How to create the perfect “safe room“ that will act as a powerful force field between you and any madman trying to claw his way to your family. Pages 23-26

The “corridor of death”! Know your home’s “fatal tunnels” that make your vulnerable to a sneak attack! Pages 45-46

What caliber handgun is best for stopping a madman in his tracks? (You may be surprised at the “truth” you find on page 33…and rethink your current weapon selection!)

This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what you need to know, nor the jam-packed strategies that are included in the most comprehensive home defense program on the planet.

Home invasions don’t just happen in “high crime” neighborhoods!

They happen EVERYWHERE (even in rural areas where home invaders know that there’s no one around to hear your screams).

So let’s dig into some REAL “tactical strategies” to help you get better prepared, shall we?

Imagine This Scenario…

You’re sitting at home watching reruns of ‘The Simpsons’ (remember the one where Homer started his own religio…oh nevermind) and there’s a knock at your front door.

“Who’s there?”

“Hello, my daughter is selling girl scout cookies to raise money for military veterans and we’d like to show you her selection.”

Being the real “patriot” you are, you’re tempted to open the door to “do your part”…

…but you’re not stupid either!

You look out and notice that you don’t see any little girl, but you DO notice one man standing on your porch you catch a glimpse of another one running to your back door for a sneak attack from the rear.

Which Weapon Do You Reach For?

Your .45?

Shotgun?

Claymore mine?

All are handy little weapons in the fight you recognize is about to happen, but there’s one weapon that you’d better have at the ready now that’s “go time”!

It’s your BRAIN!

A fire fight is a thinking man’s game (and woman’s .

If you ARE a “gun owner” (kudos!) then your first instinct may be to start blasting away.

Start with the front door lowlife and work your way onto the next vermin, right?

But a home invasion requires tactical thinking BEYOND just the point and shoot reaction many gun owners have instilled in themselves from typical range training.

So let’s break it down a little bit further and really tap into your cranium…

Your Home Invasion Defense Plan:

First, you don’t know what these guys are going to do or even how many of them there are.

Being the smart “thinking shooter” that you are, you know…

Your living room is NOT the best defensive position! Too many entries and exits and it’s easy to shoot through walls so you’re more likely to get shot

You know you have an attacker at the front and at the back and in your adrenalized state, your peripheral vision goes to hell in a handbasket.

You have family in diffent areas of the house and no time to take a firing position AND coral them to safety.

So what do you do?

1. You need a “code word” for your family so that they all know how to spring into action.

Forget the Spec Ops secret code. “ESCAPE” works much better than “RED WOLF”. Simple…to the point.

2. Have a “safe room” set up in your house where everyone can retreat to at the same time.

It needs to be stocked with several items to be prepared for surviving the upcoming fight.

The list isn’t all that long, but it’s longer than what can be listed here (more on that in a minute).

But you KNOW you need to have a phone to call law enforcement, right? Use it!

3. DON’T leave your safe room!

Assuming you have those you love with you, don’t be one of the idiots who puts on his cape and decides to go take the fight to the guys invading your home.

4. Create a “fatal funnel”

Hunker down in a corner to the opposite side of the opening of the door so you have maximum time to make a shooting decision and are the last thing the home invaders see when busting in.

You have the advantage in this case because they have to assess the room before making a move (is anyone in the room; where are they; recover; reorganize; act)

You just have to decide whether to shoot or not and you already know that either it’s a bad guy coming for you or the police coming to rescue you.(hint: don’t shoot the police)

Stay in place until the police arrive, even if you think the threat is gone.

But What If…

You have a loved one taken hostage?

You were taken by surprise and handcuffed to a railing?

You have to leave the safe room to rescue a family member?

You can’t get to your firearm (or don’t own one)?

The police weren’t notified and no one knows you’re being attacked?

All good questions!

That’s why I put together the “Home Defense Tactics” program – to arm you with the real “no nonsense” strategies you need for this worst-case scenario.

Ok, you’ve practiced how to disarm a handgun a few thousand times and you’ve reached the level of expertise where you can rip anything short of a howitzer out of your training partner’s hands.

But a handgun disarm technique requires much more than just nimble fingers and a willing partner. For your disarm to truly be ready for a “gun in your face” encounter, your timing must be dead on.

Unfortunately, while handgun disarm techniques are a dime a dozen in close combat DVD’s these days, one crucial element is often ignored…

…and it’s perhaps the most important step in your disarm technique.

I’m talking about proper TIMING of your disarm of the handgun!

You see, your attacker is already adrenalized when he has the gun aimed on you and 90% of the time, his brain is focused on his weapon and you as the “target”. In this state of mind, one stupid move from you can mean a quick pull on the trigger, either on purpose or as a flinch response to your sudden movement.

Sure it helps to be quick and get your body out of the line of fire. But to effectively pull off a handgun disarm, you MUST time your movement when his brain is NOT focused on the trigger.

To accomplish this, your attacker’s brain must be disengaged from his trigger finger. In psychological terms, it’s called a “break state”, a momentary mental “hiccup” that happens when his brain is subconsciously distracted.

For you in your disarm attempt, there are two very prominent times when your attacker is in a break state during a holdup or hostage encounter…

…but only ONE of these offers you a critical opportunity to disarm his handgun and turn the tables.

Here are your options…and the winner:

Handgun Disarm “Break State” #1:
When He’s Giving You Orders

When your attacker is giving you an order to do something, his brain is momentarily focused on communicating those directions.

At that point, he is much less likely to pull the trigger because his brain must first re-engage with the intention of shooting. This may only take a fraction of a second, but in a handgun disarm, fractions of seconds can mean life or death!

However, this break state is NOT the best opportunity to disarm a man with a pistol.

Why?

Because many people, and especially a nervous thug armed with a gun, give directions with their hands. So even though he’s in a break state when motioning you to move from one location to the other, he may be using the gun to point you in the direction he wants you to move.

If you were to make your disarm attempt while he’s giving you directions, it’s probable that the gun will be in motion and you’re more likely to miss your target when you reach out to disarm the pistol.

However, there IS a better option…

Handgun Disarm “Break State” #2:
AFTER He’s Given You Orders

When your attacker has given you an order or asked you to move, his brain is even MORE focused on making sure that you’re following directions. This is an even more powerful break state because your movement is something only you control so his brain has to process your response, whether it’s the one he wanted you to make, and whether he needs to give you further orders.

THIS is the most opportune time for you to make your move and snatch the gun away!

Here’s why…

1. Since your attacker isn’t the one giving direction, he’s instead focused on your own movement, he’s less likely to have the gun in motion.

A stable handgun gives you a static “target” to aim for in your disarm move and increases your probability of success.

2. If you’re asked to move, he’s EXPECTING your body to be in motion. Therefore, your lightening quick disarm is more likely to catch him off guard because your movement was actually something he asked you to do in the first place.

3. It allows you the opportunity to TALK to your attacker. When you’re communicating with him, his brain’s focus is again taken off of the trigger and your disarm is much harder to detect. This is even more likely if you’re in movement and talking at the same time, like asking, “You mean move over here?”

So in your handgun disarm training, don’t just practice the disarm move itself. Train with realistic hostage-like scenarios to also practice creating mental break states in your attacker to perfect the entire handgun disarm technique.
