3 Bug Out Bag Mistakes That Spell Disaster!

A VIOLENT social uproar can happen any minute due to natural disaster, power outage, or demonstration-gone-bad.

Sure, you may be one of those “preppers” who are fully stocked with ammo, survival seed packs, 27 cases of Spam, and a case of Budweiser.

But there’s one area that unfortunately most people are completely unprepared for…

…and you need to correct it now!

Here’s the question you must answer…

Are You PHYSICALLY Prepared For A Crisis?

Look, when it comes to being physically prepared, you can either plan ahead of time, or PERISH!

I know it might seem harsh to you, but the facts are the facts.

When disaster strikes and you’re forced to bug-out, you just can’t wake up and say:

“It look’s like there’s a crisis going on, time to finally lose those extra 25 lbs I’ve been carrying around!”

That is pure insanity, and if you think you can snap your fingers and instantly get in shape, then you are in for a very rude awakening my friend.

Since you are a survival minded citizen like me, I thought that I would share with you 3 keys to a survival fitness plan to help you to successfully prepare for life’s toughest situations…

Survival Fitness Key #1:
Bodyweight Works Best!

You won’t have access to a gym when all hell breaks loose, so start training today with the best gym in the world, your own natural body weight.

If it’s good enough for Uncle Sam, it’s good enough for you, right?

Choose proven exercises like bodyweight squats, sit-ups, chin-ups, bridges, and push-ups as your exercises of choice for best results.

Survival Fitness Key #2:
Is Your Back Ready For The Trek?

Being prepared and having a bug out bag is one thing…

… but being able to actually CARRY your bug out bug is a whole different story!

When disaster strikes, you need your back to be strong enough to carry your survival items and your body to be mobile enough to carry you through any treacherous terrain you may face on your journey.

If you don’t train your structure, and your back gives out you will be in serious pain and unable to move!

Having excruciating back pain, and surviving a social chaos scenario is nothing to taken lightly.

I know this first hand from my heavy rucksack that I struggled to carry in the Army.

Being a light infantry soldier with the 10th Mountain Division, the vast amount of miles we had to carry really heavy rucks eventually took its toll on my back.

As I’ve aged, that damage always seemed to be there… when I got up in the morning… when I got out of a chair… when I moved the “wrong way”.

You probably know what I mean, don’t  you?

I went to several doctors and chiropractors and it never really helped long term.

Fortunately, I was able to get rid of my back pain completely when I realized that the real cause of my pain had to do with “trigger points” and “muscle imbalances”.

Here’s the program I followed to get rid of my back pain permanently and if you have any structural imbalances at all, I highly recommend getting their free book.

The solution was a lot easier to correct than I thought and I did it without going to any more doctors!

Survival Fitness Key #3:
Train How You’ll Bug Out

Those survival items may not look like they’re very heavy…but they’re likely waaaaay heavier than you think!

Take my old Army rucksack for example…

From the outside looking in, it would appear that it only held “35” lbs of field items, but when you actually took the time to add up ALL the extra food, clothing, radio communication equipment and ammunition it actually weighed a whopping “95” lbs!

Bug out items can be small but heavy and if you’ve never actually taken the time to physically carry your own bug out bag, then make today the day you get off your butt and give it a whirl.

After you’ve actually picked up your bag, block off one day during the week and make it a point to condition your body by performing progressively increasing treks while wearing it.

Start slow with a half-mile trek for the first week and work your way up to carrying your bug out bag for multiple miles at a time.

Be sure to take heed to my advice and make sure that you integrate today’s 3 Keys For Survival Fitness into your survival plan today.

If you do this, and disaster strikes, YOU WILL BE PREPARED!
